PATTIE WALTERS

I serve as the custodian at Pinehurst School, where I enjoy helping keep the school a welcoming and well-cared-for place for students and staff.

I was born and raised in Hawaii and later moved to the Greensprings area in 1997. I’m the mom of four children, and family and community have always been very important parts of my life. Over the years, I’ve been a strong advocate for children with disabilities and believe in supporting every student’s opportunity to learn and grow.

Before coming to Pinehurst, I worked as the manager of a group home with the Hawaii Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC). In that role, I was responsible for training and teaching life skills, helping residents build independence and confidence in their daily lives. My experiences there helped shape my commitment to supporting others and creating positive environments where people can thrive.

I earned my high school diploma from Waianae High School and later attended Leeward Community College, where I studied psychology.

Outside of work, I enjoy quilting, spending time with cats and dogs, and fishing.

Vision Statement:
I advocate for the school in our community. I enjoy knowing many Pinehurst students and enjoy visiting with alumni in our community. It is important for students to learn how to take care of their school, and I enjoy supporting this work.
