At Pinehurst School, we believe it takes a mountaintop community of generous, dedicated and creative souls to help provide a nurturing environment in which our students can grow and thrive! Buddy Readers

Do you enjoy reading to kids and helping them build their reading skills? Once each week, for about 20 minutes, we need volunteers to read from a chapter book selected by the teachers, with prompts for helping the students actively participate in the reading process. Our goal is to have a committed group of Buddy Readers who will individually participate once or twice each month on a rotating basis. If this opportunity sounds like the perfect way for you to serve the children at Pinehurst, please contact Terri.

Lunch Buddies

Come spend lunchtime with our wonderful Pinehurst students, chatting and getting to know them as they get to know the members of our mountain community. Young and the young-at-heart are all welcome to share their experiences and stories, interacting in a casual and fun manner. Contact Terri for more information.
