ADMISSIONS, ENROLLMENT, & TRANSFERS
In-district
All students living within the Pinehurst School District (PSD) boundaries (‘resident students’) may attend Pinehurst School for students K-6. Students in grades 7-12 may enroll at Ashland Middle or High Schools under a PSD and Ashland School District (ASD) tuition agreement contract. For students attending Ashland Middle School or High School, PSD will remain the student’s residing district with ASD serving as the attending district.
Pinehurst accepts new students all year. Please contact the school office (541/482-1910) with your interest for enrollment.
Powerschool online registration is available for all Pinehurst School students, new and returning!
Enrollment for New Students
Please contact the school office (541/482-1910) with your interest for enrollment. Please prepare a copy of the student’s birth certificate and immunization records for enrollment.
Enrollment for Returning Students
Returning students will need their PowerSchool Snapcode to register. The Snapcode is the 15 character code unique to your student that was supplied by Ashland School District #5 (our partner in the PowerSchool program) in their original correspondence with you. If you have forgotten your Snapcode, please contact Pinehurst School District directly at 541-482-1910 before you register below.
For enrollment questions, please call the Pinehurst office at 541-482-1910.
Transferring into Pinehurst School District
Out-of-district
PSD may accept transfer students from outside of the district. If interested in applying to transfer into Pinehurst School District, please contact the school office (541/482-1910). We encourage interested families to come meet our staff and get a tour of our campus. Once out-of-district enrollment is accepted, families must also fill out an Inter-District Transfer Request form and receive permission from their resident school district.
Please note: All transfer requests will be processed on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability of spaces at the grade level/s requested. Please note that bussing is not available and parents will need to provide transportation to and from school. Transportation compensation may be requested for in-district mileage. PSD may deny regular school admission to a student who is expelled from another school district and who subsequently becomes a resident of the district or who applies for admission to the district as a nonresident student. The district may revoke transfers for not meeting behavior requirements or meeting attendance standards. A transfer cannot be revoked for academic reasons.
Resident Students Transferring out of Pinehurst School District
We believe that school choice is an important part of the educational process. We hope resident families and students find that the Pinehurst School is the best educational option, however, if you are considering transferring out of PSD, we would appreciate discussing such a move prior to it being a final decision. Please read the documents linked below that detail the transfer policies as well as the application form. If a ‘resident student’ leaves the district on an inter-district transfer to another school district, that student will no longer be a ‘resident student’ of PSD.
NON-DISCRIMINATION NOTICE: Pinehurst School District recognizes the diversity and worth of all individuals and groups in our society. It is the policy of the PSD Board of Directors that all educational programs, activities, and employment will be free of discrimination or harassment on the grounds of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, parental or marital status, or age.
