John Elder – Office Manager

I graduated from Pinehurst School in 1994 and now serve as the Office Manager at Pinehurst, where I bring years of experience and a passion for keeping the school running smoothly. I hold a District Substitute License from TSPC and an Integrated Pest Management certification, which I combine with practical expertise to support our school community in many ways.

Before joining Pinehurst, I worked for 11 years at Spectron IR as Office Manager, where I managed staff, product inventory, sales, website design, marketing, quality control, equipment installation, and shipping. I am also skilled in QuickBooks and all Microsoft Office programs, which allows me to be a versatile problem solver and resource for both staff and students.

Outside of school, I enjoy basketball, football, baseball, coaching, and spending quality time with my family.

My vision for my role at Pinehurst is to serve as a steady, solutions-oriented leader who strengthens every operational and relational aspect of the school. In my multifaceted role—including Office Manager, PE Teacher, School Nurse, On-Site Technical Support, Secretary, School Board Secretary, and backup Custodian, Groundskeeper, and Maintenance support—I work to ensure that instructional and operational systems function seamlessly. My goal is to remove barriers so educators can focus on teaching, students can focus on learning, and families and board members can experience a safe, organized, and supportive environment.
